Our Story

Our family came to Halifax in the late '70s. We were the first Khan family to live in Nova Scotia and the first Muslim family in Spryfield! When we first settled in Kjipuktuk (Halifax),  there was no Halal food or any restaurants that made South Asian cuisine. Finding accessible Halal food has been a passion of Mr. Khan's since he first arrived. We are a small family business, that is dedicated to its community.  Khan's HFX is not only a takeout spot, we also provide catering services and specialize in Halal groceries including Halal meat!

Food has been a medium for us to connect as a family through hardship and positives. In our culture food is a medium of love and care, and that is exactly what we strive to provide our customers with!
